About this test

What this test measures

Hormones are the messengers of your body. They act as signals that travel through your bloodstream, telling your cells and organs what to do and when to do it. With at least 50 different identified hormones in our body, it's no surprise that even small imbalances can negatively impact your health and emotional wellbeing. This test measures 8 important markers of hormonal health:

Progesterone: A crucial hormone that prepares your uterus for pregnancy, regulates blood pressure, mood, and sleep. Imbalances can be signs of menopause, ovarian issues, or even a miscarriage. Knowing your levels helps in understanding your fertility health and emotional wellbeing.

Triglycerides: These are essential fats in your body that can pose cardiovascular risks if their levels are too high. Knowing your triglyceride levels can help you take proactive steps to maintain a healthy heart.

Cortisol: Often referred to as the "stress hormone," cortisol influences mood, motivation, and fear. Abnormal levels could indicate a health complication, making it important to monitor.

Cholesterol (Total, LDL, HDL): Cholesterol plays a pivotal role in hormone production and metabolism. High levels can hinder your overall circulation and wellbeing. Knowing your cholesterol levels can help guide dietary and lifestyle choices.

Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH): This hormone triggers your thyroid to produce and release hormones. Disruptions in TSH levels can affect energy, weight, and mood, so monitoring this can help you maintain a balanced, healthy lifestyle.

Total Testosterone: This hormone, produced by your ovaries, is crucial for reproductive tissue growth, maintenance, and repair. Understanding your testosterone levels can help address issues related to libido, menstrual health, and overall vitality.

Who should take this test

Taking a women's health panel can be beneficial at any stage of your life. Whether you're experiencing changes in metabolism, sexual health, skin, hair, or emotional wellbeing, or you simply want to be proactive about your health, this test offers valuable insights. You must be age 18 or older to take this test. This test is intended only for people assigned female at birth. Please note that due to state restrictions, this test is currently unavailable to residents of New York.

What to know about hormones and your health

What is a hormonal imbalance?
A hormonal imbalance happens when your body has too much or too little of one or more hormones. Sometimes these imbalances happen for reasons we can't control. Other times, they can be a response to stress or other lifestyle changes. Hormonal imbalances can impact your entire body but common signs include sudden changes to your mood or appetite, irregular periods, or problems sleeping.

Test yourself discreetly and talk to a healthcare provider
Get your test to collect your sample discreetly at home and review results right from your Cue Health App. Plus, it's easier than ever to discuss your results with on-demand telehealth visits through your App.

What can you do?
Living a healthy lifestyle can help you be proactive about your hormonal health. But in many cases, hormonal imbalances happen from factors we can't control. If you have a hormonal imbalance, talk with your healthcare provider about lifestyle changes and treatment options. For example, medications may be available to help you improve your hormone levels.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate are the results?

The laboratories we partner with to process Cue tests are CLIA-certified and CAP-accredited, which means they meet the highest standards for pathology and laboratory medicine. Additionally, each of our test kits are assembled in FDA-registered manufacturing facilities.

How long does the testing process take?

In most cases, your results will be available 3 to 5 business days after the lab receives your sample. You’ll be notified once you can securely review your results in the Cue Health App. If your results are delayed, our customer service team will reach out to you.

Holidays may cause shipping and laboratory delays. These holidays include:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Friday after Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Day

Will my insurance cover the cost of the test?

Cue tests are not currently covered by insurance, but we are actively working with health insurance companies to get coverage for Cue Health solutions. However, many Cue Care tests are FSA/HSA eligible, which means that your health benefits may be able to cover Cue. We recommend connecting with your insurance provider directly to inquire more about their policies and your plan. We work hard to keep our pricing accessible, and in most cases, the price of a Cue Care test is similar to the out-of-pocket costs for testing in a clinical setting.

I ordered my kit. What should I do next?

Get started by downloading the Cue Health App. Please ensure you’ve installed the latest version (1.16 or newer). Follow step-by-step instructions within your app and sample collection kit to collect and mail in your sample. If you have trouble registering your test kit, please reach customer support from the Cue Health App. You may also contact support@cuehealth.com or 1 (833)-CUE-TEST.

How will I receive my results?

In most circumstances, your results will be ready within 3-5 business days of the lab receiving your sample. You’ll be notified once you can securely review your results in the Cue Health App. Your health data is sent confidentially, and complies with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.

Health test results can vary from person to person. We recommend speaking with a healthcare provider if you want to better understand your test, or if you have unexpected or abnormal results. You may also receive additional information from our team via email within 24 hours. If your results are invalid or you want to repeat your test, please contact customer support at 1 (833) 283-8378 or email cuecaresupport@cue.me.

Will my package be shipped discreetly?

Your package will be delivered discreetly by Amazon, our delivery fulfillment partner. Your order will always arrive in an Amazon box with no test names or Cue Health-branded images. Cue Health will not appear anywhere on your package in normal circumstances; however, it may occasionally appear on your shipping label on rare occasions.

Are at-home test kits available in every state?

Due to state restrictions, Cue mail-in lab tests are not available to residents of New York. Additionally, the Colon Cancer Screening, the Women’s Sexual Health Panel, and the Men’s Sexual Health Panel is not available to residents of New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island. These restrictions do not apply to Cue’s COVID-19 test.

What support will I get with my results?

What your test means about your health varies from person to person. If you have questions or want to discuss your results, we recommend speaking with a healthcare provider. You can go to the Care tab in your App to chat with a provider and access 24/7 virtual care; however, you should speak to your doctor if you want to inquire about unexpected or concerning results. If you test positive for certain conditions with a Cue test, you can access treatment with Cue Care™ services at no extra cost. If you receive a prescription, you’ll just have to cover the cost of your medicine. Please check the Cue Health App or our Cue Care FAQs for more information on which conditions are treated.
