About this test
What this test measures
In the United States, more than 2.5 million new STI cases are detected every year.¹ If you are at risk of developing a sexually transmitted infection, regular screening can help you stay proactive about your sexual health.
Chlamydia
Common but often silent, chlamydia can lead to painful symptoms like pelvic pain and long-term complications if left untreated. Early detection through our test can help you seek prompt treatment and prevent these outcomes.
Herpes (HSV-2)
HSV-2, the primary cause of genital herpes, can lead to recurring outbreaks of painful sores. Knowing your status can help you manage symptoms and prevent unknowingly spread of the virus.
Gonorrhea
This bacteria, often cohabitating with chlamydia, is typically symptomless and could be silently causing damage. It's most prevalent among those aged 15-25, underlining the importance of early detection for timely treatment..
Hepatitis C
Often contracted through blood contact, Hepatitis C can silently damage your liver over time. It's known for inflaming the liver and can eventually lead to severe liver damage or cancer if undetected. Our test can help you detect it early for timely treatment.
HIV
HIV undermines your immune system over time. Early detection is crucial in preventing the virus's progression and managing it effectively with antiretroviral therapy.
Syphilis
If left untreated, syphilis can lead to severe health complications. Stay one step ahead with our syphilis test.
Trichomoniasis
Though often symptomless, "trich" is the most common curable STI. It's caused by a parasite and can be effectively treated with antibiotics once detected.

Will my insurance cover the cost of the test?
Cue tests are not currently covered by insurance, but we are actively working with health insurance companies to get coverage for Cue Health solutions. However, many Cue Care tests are FSA/HSA eligible, which means that your health benefits may be able to cover Cue. We recommend connecting with your insurance provider directly to inquire more about their policies and your plan. We work hard to keep our pricing accessible, and in most cases, the price of a Cue Care test is similar to the out-of-pocket costs for testing in a clinical setting.
I ordered my kit. What should I do next?
Get started by downloading the Cue Health App. Please ensure you’ve installed the latest version (1.16 or newer). Follow step-by-step instructions within your app and sample collection kit to collect and mail in your sample. If you have trouble registering your test kit, please reach customer support from the Cue Health App. You may also contact support@cuehealth.com or 1 (833)-CUE-TEST.
How will I receive my results?
In most circumstances, your results will be ready within 3-5 business days of the lab receiving your sample. You’ll be notified once you can securely review your results in the Cue Health App. Your health data is sent confidentially, and complies with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
Health test results can vary from person to person. We recommend speaking with a healthcare provider if you want to better understand your test, or if you have unexpected or abnormal results. You may also receive additional information from our team via email within 24 hours. If your results are invalid or you want to repeat your test, please contact customer support at 1 (833) 283-8378 or email cuecaresupport@cue.me.
Will my package be shipped discreetly?
Your package will be delivered discreetly by Amazon, our delivery fulfillment partner. Your order will always arrive in an Amazon box with no test names or Cue Health-branded images. Cue Health will not appear anywhere on your package in normal circumstances; however, it may occasionally appear on your shipping label on rare occasions.
Are at-home test kits available in every state?
Due to state restrictions, Cue mail-in lab tests are not available to residents of New York. Additionally, the Colon Cancer Screening, the Women’s Sexual Health Panel, and the Men’s Sexual Health Panel is not available to residents of New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island. These restrictions do not apply to Cue’s COVID-19 test.
What support will I get with my results?
What your test means about your health varies from person to person. If you have questions or want to discuss your results, we recommend speaking with a healthcare provider. You can go to the Care tab in your App to chat with a provider and access 24/7 virtual care; however, you should speak to your doctor if you want to inquire about unexpected or concerning results. If you test positive for certain conditions with a Cue test, you can access treatment with Cue Care™ services at no extra cost. If you receive a prescription, you’ll just have to cover the cost of your medicine. Please check the Cue Health App or our Cue Care FAQs for more information on which conditions are treated.
