Take control of your health with our at-home Kidney Panel. This test allows you to measure crucial kidney function markers from the comfort of home. This comprehensive kidney panel measures:
- Creatinine: A waste product produced by your muscles. High levels can indicate potential kidney-related problems.
- Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN): Another waste product found in your blood. Elevated levels may also suggest kidney-related issues.
By tracking these important markers, you can better understand your kidney health and work with your healthcare provider to detect potential disorders.
- Fast delivery and pre-paid return shipping
- HSA/FSA eligible

About the test
What this test measures
As blood moves through your body, it picks up natural waste. When it gets to your kidneys, these toxins are filtered and expelled as urine. Your kidneys also secrete a number of essential hormones, and play an important role in water retention.
The Kidney Panel focuses on 2 critical kidney function indicators:
- Creatinine: A waste product produced by your muscles. Elevated levels could suggest kidney issues.
- Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN): A waste product present in your blood. Increased levels could also indicate kidney-related concerns.
By monitoring these markers, you can gain insights into your kidney health and detect potential disorders early.
Who should take this test
With conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease affecting kidney function, and 1 in 7 Americans living with chronic kidney disease¹, it's important to monitor your kidney health. This test is crucial for individuals who:
- Have a family history of kidney problems
- Suffer from diabetes
- Have high blood pressure
- Have heart disease
Kidney disease or damage might not always manifest noticeable symptoms. However, frequent or infrequent urination, itching, fatigue, swelling, muscle cramps, and trouble sleeping could indicate kidney disease. Stay proactive about your kidney health with this easy and accessible at-home test.
Please note, you must be age 18 or older to take this test, and due to state restrictions, this test is not available to residents of New York.

What to know about kidney health
Your kidney health
Your kidneys are each about the size of a fist and sit near your spine below your ribcage. The insides of your kidneys are filled with hundreds of thousands of tiny filters called nephrons. As your blood moves through these nephrons, it is filtered to create waste. Nephrons combine this waste with water and other chemicals to create urine, which carries toxins out of your body. If your kidneys are damaged or sick, it may impact their ability to function properly, which can cause toxins to build up in your body.
Test yourself conveniently and talk to a healthcare provider
Regularly monitoring your kidney health and function can be a good way to stay proactive about your health. Get your test to collect your sample at home and review results right from your Cue Health App. Plus, it's easier than ever to discuss your results with on-demand telehealth visits through your App.
Reducing your risk
When it comes to your kidney health, a little prevention can go a long way. Good communication with your healthcare provider can help you better understand how your lifestyle impacts your kidneys.

Will my insurance cover the cost of the test?
Cue test kits are not currently covered by insurance, but we are actively working with health insurance companies to get coverage for Cue Health solutions. (Please note, Cue COVID-19 tests are covered by insurance. Check with your provider for details.) However, many Cue test kits are FSA/HSA eligible, which means that your health benefits may cover them. We recommend connecting with your insurance provider directly to inquire about their policies and your plan. We work hard to keep our pricing accessible, and in most cases, the price of a Cue test is comparable to the out-of-pocket costs for testing in a clinical setting.
I ordered my kit. What should I do next?
Get started by downloading the Cue Health App. Please ensure you’ve installed the latest version (1.16 or newer). Follow step-by-step instructions within your app and sample collection kit to collect and mail in your sample. If you have trouble registering your test kit, please reach customer support from the Cue Health App. You may also contact email@example.com or 1 (833)-CUE-TEST.
How will I receive my results?
Health test results can vary from person to person. We recommend speaking with a healthcare provider if you want to better understand your test, or if you have unexpected or abnormal results. You may also receive additional information from our team via email within 24 hours. If your results are invalid and you want to request a replacement test, please contact customer support at 1 (833) 283-8378 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Will my package be shipped discreetly?
Your package will be delivered discreetly by Amazon, our delivery fulfillment partner. Your order will arrive in an Amazon box with no test names or Cue Health-branded images. In most cases, Cue Health will not appear on your package; however, it may be printed on your shipping label on rare occasions.
Are at-home test kits available in every state?
Due to state restrictions, Cue mail-in lab tests are not available to residents of New York. Additionally, the Colon Cancer Screening, the Women’s Sexual Health Panel, and the Men’s Sexual Health Panel is not available to residents of New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island. These restrictions do not apply to Cue’s COVID-19 test.
What support will I get with my results?
What health test results mean can vary from person to person. If you have questions or want to discuss your results, we recommend speaking with a healthcare provider. You can go to the Care tab in your App to consult a provider and access 24/7 virtual care. You might also want to talk with your healthcare provider if you are concerned about your results. If you test positive for certain conditions with a Cue test, you can request a video chat with a clinician through Cue Care™ at no extra cost. If you receive a prescription, you’ll just have to cover the cost of your medicine. Please check the Cue Health App or our Cue Care FAQs for more information on which conditions may be eligible for Cue Care medication delivery.
The price of your test includes the costs for an independent physician or nurse practitioner to review your information, determine whether testing is appropriate, and provide follow-up on your results, plus fees for other administrative and operational support. Of the $87.20 to $109.00, $10.00 is payable to Wheel Provider Group for its test review and clinician consultation services.
