Colon Cancer Screening

Cue+ Member Price $55.20

This at-home Colon Cancer Screening test is a simple, non-invasive fecal immunochemical (FIT) test designed to help detect early signs of colon cancer, the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths. With just a stool sample, the test detects microscopic amounts of blood in your stool—an early sign of cancerous or precancerous growths. Regular screening can facilitate early detection, when colon cancer is often more responsive to treatment.

About this test

What this test measures

This test is designed to identify small amounts of blood in your stool. The presence of blood can be a crucial early indicator of cancerous or precancerous growths in your colon. It's important to remember that a positive test can also result from other conditions and not just cancer. Thus, always consult a healthcare provider to discuss your results and determine the need for additional testing or treatment.

Who should take this test

The Colon Cancer Screening test is recommended for adults aged 45 to 75, and for those aged 76 to 85 whose doctors advise them to continue screening. As many individuals with colon cancer do not experience symptoms in the early stages, regular testing is a proactive measure for those within the at-risk age group. Symptoms such as changes in bowel habits, presence of blood in stool, persistent abdominal discomfort, unexplained weight loss, or persistent weakness or fatigue should not be ignored and prompt testing is advised. Protect your health by screening early and regularly with our at-home Colon Cancer Screening test.

What to know about colon cancer

Your colon health
Your colon (or large intestine) is the last and largest part of your gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Food enters your colon after it has finished moving through your small intestine, where your body absorbs nutrients. The colon's job is to dehydrate what's left of the food and form it into stool, which is excreted as waste later in the digestive process. Small, noncancerous clumps of cells (called polyps) can sometimes grow in your colon. Over time, these polyps can become colon cancer.

Test yourself conveniently and talk to a healthcare provider
Screening with a fecal immunochemical test (FIT) can help you stay proactive about detecting colon cancer early, when it is easier to treat. Get your test to collect your sample discreetly at home and review results right from your Cue Health App. Plus, it's easier than ever to discuss your results with on-demand telehealth visits through your App.

Reducing your risk
When it comes to colon cancer, the most effective way to reduce your risk is with regular screening. Talk to your healthcare provider to better understand your risk and how regular screening can help you stay healthy and improve chances of treatment if you get sick.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate are the results?

The laboratories we partner with to process Cue tests are CLIA-certified and CAP-accredited, which means they meet the highest standards for pathology and laboratory medicine. Additionally, each of our test kits are assembled in FDA-registered manufacturing facilities.

How long does the testing process take?

In most cases, your results will be available 3 to 5 business days after the lab receives your sample. You’ll be notified once you can securely review your results in the Cue Health App. If your results are delayed, our customer service team will reach out to you.

Holidays may cause shipping and laboratory delays. These holidays include:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Friday after Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Day

Will my insurance cover the cost of the test?

Cue test kits are not currently covered by insurance, but we are actively working with health insurance companies to get coverage for Cue Health solutions. (Please note, Cue COVID-19 tests are covered by insurance. Check with your provider for details.) However, many Cue test kits are FSA/HSA eligible, which means that your health benefits may cover them. We recommend connecting with your insurance provider directly to inquire about their policies and your plan. We work hard to keep our pricing accessible, and in most cases, the price of a Cue test is comparable to the out-of-pocket costs for testing in a clinical setting.

I ordered my kit. What should I do next?

Get started by downloading the Cue Health App. Please ensure you’ve installed the latest version (1.16 or newer). Follow step-by-step instructions within your app and sample collection kit to collect and mail in your sample. If you have trouble registering your test kit, please reach customer support from the Cue Health App. You may also contact or 1 (833)-CUE-TEST.

How will I receive my results?

After the lab has completed your test, you will be able to see your results in the home screen of the Cue Health App. You’ll be notified when your results are ready via email or text message, depending on the preferences you set in the App. Your health data is sent confidentially, and complies with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. To learn more, read our privacy policy.

Health test results can vary from person to person. We recommend speaking with a healthcare provider if you want to better understand your test, or if you have unexpected or abnormal results. You may also receive additional information from our team via email within 24 hours. If your results are invalid and you want to request a replacement test, please contact customer support at 1 (833) 283-8378 or email

Will my package be shipped discreetly?

Your package will be delivered discreetly by Amazon, our delivery fulfillment partner. Your order will arrive in an Amazon box with no test names or Cue Health-branded images. In most cases, Cue Health will not appear on your package; however, it may be printed on your shipping label on rare occasions.

Are at-home test kits available in every state?

Due to state restrictions, Cue mail-in lab tests are not available to residents of New York. Additionally, the Colon Cancer Screening, the Women’s Sexual Health Panel, and the Men’s Sexual Health Panel is not available to residents of New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island. These restrictions do not apply to Cue’s COVID-19 test.

What support will I get with my results?

What health test results mean can vary from person to person. If you have questions or want to discuss your results, we recommend speaking with a healthcare provider. You can go to the Care tab in your App to consult a provider and access 24/7 virtual care. You might also want to talk with your healthcare provider if you are concerned about your results. If you test positive for certain conditions with a Cue test, you can request a video chat with a clinician through Cue Care™ at no extra cost. If you receive a prescription, you’ll just have to cover the cost of your medicine. Please check the Cue Health App or our Cue Care FAQs for more information on which conditions may be eligible for Cue Care medication delivery.
